Entrance Exam

The Aufnahmeprüfung is mandatory for all applicants (no exemption possible). It is identical for all five courses (G/M/S/T/W) and tests ONLY German, with no subject-specific knowledge or mathematics. Format: Part I Grammar & Vocabulary (45 min, levels A1→C1, includes C-Tests) and Part II Writing (45 min), each weighted 50%. Requires German B2/C1. Held in person at the Neue Universität, Heidelberg. Apply via heiCO (Heidelberg University portal) for a Baden-Württemberg university, which issues the invitation.
